Driving with Darbee: Reese-Peters Home

Architectural historian Jeff Darbee explores the Square 13 Historic District, where notable homes — including William Tecumseh Sherman’s house — are located.

The Reese-Peters House, built in 1835, is one of the great Greek Revival homes of Ohio. In 1994 the Philip R. Peters Trust donated the property to the Fairfield County Commissioners for a civic purpose involving the arts. The house is now home to the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio.
