Hannah Neil Home for Children, 727 E Main St in 1933
Hannah Neil Mission Home was organized May 8, 1866 and opened in the Neville Mansion on Main Street in April, 1868. The first attempt to help homeless children opened in a temporary home on Maple Street April 27, 1858.
Historic Houses of Columbus
Columbus has a great collection of historic homes. As a kid, I was always fascinated by taking walks in various neighborhoods and checking out all the old homes. Here’s some of the great homes–some are still around, some are still memories.
