Masons perform ceremony at the laying of the cornerstone for the new Downtown YMCA at 40 West Long Street, in 1923. Today, the building continues to serve the needs of Downtown Columbus and its surrounding neighborhoods.
The American Insurance Union Auditorium,a t 50 West Broad Street, and the Colonial Theater, at 40 West Broad Street, were replaced by the AIU Citadel, now known as Leveque Tower.
Groundbreaking for Rowland Building, 102 E Broad St., was 3/30/1921; it was demolished on November 4, 1963. The picture also features Summer & Son, 114 E Broad St., the Ohio Real Estate School, 120 E Broad St. and the Athletic Club at 136 E Broad St.
