Big Bear Warehouse

Not far from headquarters, Big Bear operated the nation’s largest refrigerated warehouse.

Closing date: 2004
There now: Grandview Yard

This photo shows the construction of a produce warehouse at the site in March 1955.

The produce warehouse housed food items sold in Big Bear stores.

In addition to the jobs created by stores, Big Bear provided employment opportunities at its warehouse facilities.

Like Big Bear stores, the warehouse facilities were meticulously organized.
