King-Lincoln District, Tippie Dyer. Trombonist “Tippie” Dyer led an orchestra in the early 1940s. The group started out as a WPA yourh orchestra that met at The Beatty Community Center and was organized by Peter France. Some of the people that played with this group included Conklin Brown, Reggie Morgan, Webster Lyman, Philllip Townes, Jimmie Carter, Eddie Littlejohn, Bobby Little, Jarvis Woodley, Jessie Holliman and Wilton Greene.
