Minerva Park began as an amusement park in 1895 and lasted until 1902. In 1926 the first homes were built in the neighborhood and it was incorporated as a village in 1940. Minerva Park is bounded by Maplewood Drive to the south, Cleveland Avenue to the west, Wildwood Road to the north and Minerva Park Lake to the east.
